Far from the road, it is a fabulous, private retreat. 120 feet of lakefront with lakeside lawn, sand beach, lakeside terrace with chaise lounges and beach chairs.
This is your chance to live the early Tahoe glory days--in the original 1910 boathouse carefully updated to modern standards, with a tasteful mix of fresh furnishings, vintage details, and Victorian antiques. It has been expanded to include several view-filled living areas, a large country kitchen and wrap-around lakeside deck on the upper level, and three bedrooms and full apartment on the lower level. The long paved driveway offers plenty of parking. Spread out in spacious forested grounds with outdoor stone fireplace and patio, summer ping pong table, and lovely gardens. Barbecue on the gas and charcoal grills. A buoy right in front of the house is for our guests, and use of a pier is available.
Closeby is a country market with great deli and wine selection--you'll love walking to the store. Park the car--you can walk to quaint Tahoma to the pizzeria, coffee bar, post office, video shop, kayak rentals, and two nice restaurants. Walk to Sugar Pine Point with its tennis courts and grand old estate. Take a short drive to Emerald Bay State Park, Bliss Beach, national forest, Meeks Bay aand Blackwood Canyon accesses to Desolation Wilderness. A meandering paved bike path makes its way along the shore from Sugar Pine Point to Tahoe City, down the Truckee River all the way to Squaw Valley. Swim in the lake and warm up in the hot tub. Enjoy a massage after your soak. Get a picnic at the deli--big delicious sandwiches--enjoy a great Tahoe day!
Skiers: it's just 5 minutes - 1 mile - to skiing and showboarding for the whole family at Homewood Mountain Resort known for its warm hospitality, groomed runs and spectacular lake views from its 56 runs. Alpine Meadows and Squaw Valley are 30 minutes away. Go cross country skiing and snowshoeing on machine groomed trails near the house.
Accommodations: Beds hold up to 16 in summer, up to 10 in winter, plus 2 queen sleepers sleep 4 more.
1. Lakeside bedroom with cal-king bed opens to shore ten feet away.
2. Second bedroom has queen bed with window seat.
3. Children's room has one bunkbed and two curtained youth captain's bunks 5 ft. long, sleeps 4 children.

5. Apartment: Available to our house renters only is the owner's private suite with bedroom with queen bed and bathroom, queen sleeper sofa in lakeside living room, kitchen, entrance through house or from outside.
